Hospitality Scholarship Opportunities and Process

Internal Hospitality Scholarships

The Harrah College of Hospitality has several internal scholarship opportunities available to degree seeking students who are in one of the college’s degree programs. All scholarships awards are for the upcoming fall term. There are no awards in the spring term.

Incoming Degree Seeking Scholarship Process

  • Incoming students must first be admitted into one of the college’s degree programs.
  • After admission is offered, incoming students need to complete the Hospitality New Student Scholarship application by the following deadlines. The deadlines are firm deadlines. The scholarship committee closely evaluates the essay questions on the scholarship application. Please take your time and submit well written responses.
    • Incoming Freshmen Students: November 1 (decisions will be sent out by January 31)
    • Incoming Transfer Students: February 1 (decisions will be sent out by April 1)
  • All incoming domestic students must complete the FAFSA form as well. Many of our scholarships, both in the college and at the campus level reuqires this form to be submitted. International students must complete the Alternate Need form.

Current Degree Seeking Scholarship Process

  • Current students, who are completing one of the college’s degree program, have the opportunity to apply for the college’s internal scholarships each academic year.
  • Students much complete the Current Student Scholarship Application by March 1. This is a firm deadline. The scholarship committee closely evaluates the essay questions on the scholarship application. Please take your time and submit well written responses.
  • All current domestic students must complete the FAFSA form as well each academic year no later than March 1. International students must complete the Alternate Need form each academic year by March 1 as well.

Other Internal Scholarships for Current Students with a Separate Application

  • No applications are open at this time.

Panda Leaders Hospitality Scholarship Program

The Panda Leaders Hospitality Scholarship Program is designed to provide support to Panda employees who are pursuing either the Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management or the Master in Hospitality Administration at the UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality. Please follow the process below to apply for this scholarship.

UNLV Hospitality Singapore Scholarship Application Process

The Harrah College of Hospitality offers a scholarship opportunity to Singapore citizens who are admitted into any of our degree programs. This scholarship cover the program’s tuition and fees. Below is the process to apply to this scholarship. This scholarship is done on a rolling basis and can be for either a fall or spring start.

  • Complete and be admitted into one of our degree programs: Bachelor’s degree (first-year / transfer), Master’s program, or PhD. program.
  • Submit the Singapore Scholarship application (bachelor’s / graduate) by the deadlines below.
    • Bachelor’s
      • Fall – May 1
      • Spring – November 15
    • Graduate
      • Fall – May 1
      • Spring – October 15
      • Summer – March 15 (MHA degree only)

External Scholarships

Each year, a number of independent agencies, such as national and state associations and professional organizations, offer scholarships for which students apply directly. The College of Hospitality posts these opportunities below as they become available.
